Concealed Gas Pipe Repair Service at Tropical Spring
π23 Simei Street 4 | π¨ Condo
A homeowner at Tropical Spring Condominium in Tampines, Singapore contacted Homeone after their Rinnai gas heater failed to ignite properly. Initially, they suspected the water heater itself was faulty. However, the issue turned out to be something much more critical and hidden: concealed gas pipe damage within the wall.
This image shows the puncture in the gas pipe, caused by accidental drilling during previous wall work. Over time, gas leaked into the concealed wall space, preventing the heater from receiving a sufficient gas supply.

Site Findings & Diagnostic Work
Our gas technician confirmed that gas pressure to the heater was insufficient. Using a Bosch D-tect 120 Professional scanner, we traced the concealed pipe and identified the damaged section with minimal hacking.
We shut off the gas supply, vented the system and secured the working area before exposing the concealed pipe for repair.
