Gas Pipe Installation at A Landed House @ Tampines Road
📍 Tampines Road | 🏡 Landed
A renovated landed home at Tampines Road required a new gas pipe and flexible hose installation for their kitchen stove. Prioritising safety and compliance, the owner engaged Homeone for a professional Gas Pipe Installation with the Gas Hose service to ensure the system was securely fitted, thoroughly tested, leak-free, and compliant with all relevant safety standards.
Homeone provides EMA-licensed gas services, including the mandatory final pressure testing to verify the integrity of gas pipework. Upon successful completion, a Statement of Gas Appliances Testing Certificate is issued in accordance with the Gas (Supply) Regulations 21.
In Singapore, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) installations are regulated by the SCDF and are not governed under the Gas Supply Regulations or EMA regulations.
However, to ensure gas pipe safety and leak-free operation, Homeone conducts a final pressure test immediately upon completion of every LPG installation. This is done in accordance with the testing requirements outlined in Singapore Standard SS 608:2015+A3:2023, confirming that there are no gas leaks and that the system is safe for use.
A Statement of Gas Appliances Testing Certificate is then issued to the owner as part of our comprehensive safety assurance process.

EMA-Licensed Gas Pipe Termination Job Scope
Gas Pipe Installation
- To lay a gas pipe 3/4″ gas pipe as per drawing. A ¾-inch gas pipe provides a better flow rate and reduces pressure loss, particularly when the distance exceeds 10 metres. It is also capable of supplying gas to two to three stoves efficiently.
- To install a gas valve and flexible hose for the stove
Final Pressure Test
- A final pressure test was carried out to determine whether the gas pipe was free from leaks and safe for use.
The test commenced at 1:13 pm at 30 mbar, showing a 12-inch total displacement on the U-tube manometer (6 inches rise on the left column and 6 inches drop on the right column), and concluded at 1:18 pm with the pressure unchanged.
Based on the test results, Homeone confirms that the gas pipe installation was completed successfully, with no gas leaks detected, and is safe for use.
